Sensoria Staff

Sensoria is the UK’s festival of film and music. Sensoria’s natural home is Sheffield – a city renowned for its creative and technical innovation and one rich in musical heritage. The festival has risktaking and innovation at its core – it is informal and informative; Sensoria loves to provide access, raise aspiration and work to encourage new talent on an ongoing basis.

  • Our 2021 Call for Submissions is now closed.

We look forward to seeing you in Autumn for a heady mix of screenings, performance, talks, events and exhibitions but keep checking throughout the year as we present Sensoria Teasers – events, activities and collaborations as and when the opportunity arises. We deliver exciting education work including Resonator and the Creative and Media Diplomas Festivals Unit.

We have a number of virtual projects too – check out Uncommon People – our online family tree of Sheffield’s music scene, past and present – and the Sheffield Music Map, a free smartphone app.

Sensoria researched, compiled and wrote the Sheffield Music Report 2015: A snapshot of Sheffield’s music sector (PDF download).
Building on Sheffield’s famous musical heritage, the report outlines how Sheffield is a leading Music City. The report audits data from across South Yorkshire, as well as incorporating in-depth interviews with key leaders from across Sheffield’s music scene.

SensoriaPro also delivers high quality ongoing activity for professionals and emerging talent within the music and film industry.

Our Code of Conduct for the festival, attendees, staff and volunteers can be found here.
